Bottecchia Cycling Club is at Lough Melvin

Two groups on the road today again with 9 in the main group and 7 in the front one, a few new recruits pedalled into the front fast group to make the step up and they didn’t let the boys down with 120kms completed with an average speed of 33kms/hr , with Davoren & Mark missing their Saturday morning suffer session they hogged the front for everyone else and sheltered the rest of the group for the majority of the time. And done a splendid job while doing so .

The Lockdown as been very hard on people but we didn’t realise how much it effected our home sick Kevin McDaid , we haven’t seen him in a Sunday morning for a while now , but with this weeks spin taking us across the Border into the North he couldn’t resist getting a little closer to home , his group averaged and impressive 29.2Kms/hr with over 1200 metres of climbing , Irene was the Queen of Leitrim today with no less than 6 QOMS ascending & Descending , A great days cycling once again, another strong group a few more promoted and a lot more miles in the legs, Ya gotta love the Sunday spins .
